Why are we not talking about this? This shit is exactly what we need. If you can give me multi-GPU support without the horrendous bloat of Windows 10, I'm in.

They have been working on this for so many years and it is going nowhere.

Linux has more of a future because it actually bring something to the table wit it being structured somewhat like UNIX.

Anyone have a way of downloading songs with the convenience of limewire but with less aids infecting your computer?

i've been looking for some time now but all I can find are these crappy youtube to mp3 converters, i'd appreciate a method that wouldn't involve hours of searching for videos that have no shitty intro.

Everything I can

Because I don't want to pay. If I had no choice but to pay, I'd probably have just gone my whole life without experiencing any of the things I downloaded. Once you give someone the ability to ctrl-c a file, it's not going away. Regardless, the only pirated games I feel like I've spent more than 10 hours in were STALKER (dead studio).

Transmission

I seed when I notice there are peers trying to download as well. More often than not, the torrents I download are either overseeded an abandoned. I have very little interest in anything new or popular.

I torrent everything.
Because it's free.
Deluge app is best app.
Fuck seeding, wasted bandwidth.
Don't have any favourites.
TPB obviously.

I torrent old games that aren't on Steam/GOG (Halo CE), music, movies, and basically everything I want that I'm not sure I'd pay money for.
I do it because I'm poor.
The best applications are qBitTorrent, Deluge, and good ol utorrent+rutorrent.
I seed until I hit at least 3.0 ratio on public trackers, and seed indefinitely for private trackers, a PS Vita games torrent.
No favourite torrents really.
My most used site right now is torrentproject.se

What are some of the more secure ways to speak to someone over the internet?

I used to know a guy that worked in tech that set up an IRC server that was set to do some fancy magic shit that would remove any trace of server logs (I.E. Messages) the instant they reached the server and prevented the client from saving logs in its entirety.

That's obviously not 100% safe, but something to that degree would work.

Bought myself a new laptop, but not all the torrents sites I use are fucked up.

Anyone have any suggestions? Yes, I know to use a proxy or a VPN, but I want to know which ones are reliable, all the sites I find have no comments on the actual torrents.

Also, nobody will buy that you are Anonymous if you're on one side of the political spectrum. Anonymous only takes revenge on specific acts of assholism that may or may not exemplify the excesses of a particular pole on the political spectrum, but we'll know you're not Anonymous if you are for one particular politician or party. Anonymous doesn't cuss, and it's grammar is perfect.

Just get Linux Mint or ubuntu, learn terminal and linux enviroment overall, Then when u feel u have learned something and that your distro doesnt challenge you anymore, feel free to switch.... After Ubuntu i recommend Arch Linux, and if you want to master linux jump to Gentoo after all of that. Gentoo is endgame of autism.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called "Linux", and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.

There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux" distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.
