Is Windows 10 incompatible with certain antivirus software?

I used to have AVG AntiVirus Free but it won't download it anymore.

It should work as checking the official website it specifically mentions Windows 10 as supported.

p.s. i just use the built in 'Windows Defender' from Microsoft. probably not the best anti-virus protection but it should at least be decent. but i figure the best protection is just being careful on what you allow to run on your computer in general.
