Anyone have a way of downloading songs with the convenience of limewire but with less aids infecting your computer?

i've been looking for some time now but all I can find are these crappy youtube to mp3 converters, i'd appreciate a method that wouldn't involve hours of searching for videos that have no shitty intro.
