I got home from work and started watching the new episode, I'm about 3/4 of the way through and it's just awful,lol.

The part where they use a wire to kill zombies......then get out of their cars in the middle of a zombie horde made me literally laugh out loud because it was so dumb.

This show is the worst with the zombies, sometimes one or two is supposed to be a big threat.....then...like tonight....a whole horde of them is no big deal and they just walk through them.

And the "Kingdom" and the "King"? I know it's from the comic but sometimes stuff that works in the comic (and I thought it was dumb in the comic) doesn't work in other mediums.

And so much cringe inducing dialogue. I thought it was supposed to get back to the action after the break?

I tried watching this show about 2 years ago. It might be the worst critically acclaimed show I've ever seen. It was boring, and I didn't care about the characters at all.

It has been bad for quite some time. I stopped watching it during season 4.

The formula is stale too: find a new place to live, place gets overruned, find a new place to live, place gets overrunned.

I just watch it occasionally but every time I do I'm reminded why I don't regularly watch it. I get the comics from the library and have read up until basically where the TV is at right now so I know the basic story, which isn't terrible. But the way they drag this crap out just kills the TV show and like I said, stuff like the "Kingdom" just does not work in the TV The Walking Dead universe.

But tonight's episode might be the worst The Walking Dead I've ever seen and that's saying something. Rick walking through a hord of zombies was just lol absurd. When they do stuff like that they just kill any suspense or credibility the show has because they make the zombies look like a minor annoyance instead of a real threat. How in the hell could those pathetic zombies wipe out humans if you can just walk past them?

Rick just walking through a zombie horde is neck and neck with that scene from Fear the Walking Dead where the weird looking guy walks around with a horde of zombies as the most retarded Walking Dead scene I've ever seen.

My eyes still hurt from rolling so hard lol.

To be honest the only way a zombie apocalypse could happen is if there was an airborne virus that turned everyone, or like world war Z where the zombies can sprint and overwhelm people with guns.

To be fair, in the Walking Dead, every human is already infected. So any person dying, regardless of the cause, is a potential zombie.

What does that have to do with it being ridiculous that these slow dumb zombies could take over the world? Very few people die a day compared to all the living.

For the zombies to take over they would have to reproduce exponentially and it could never happen with these dumb zombies. An old lady with a knife, a chick with a sword and a hillbilly with a crossbow have taken out thousands of of them or but billions of humans couldn't handle a few thousand zombies?

I know it's just a show but it's gotten to the point of absurdity how weak they've made the zombies.

And I take back what I said about Rick walking through zombies as being the most ridiculous WD scene ever.....that honor has to go to Carl roller skating.

I was replying to the poster who suggested that it's impossible for the zombie to infect almost everyone which is not what happens in the The Walking Dead. The zombies don't need to infect anyone for the virus to spread.

It's like in classic Night of the Living Dead. The dead simply rose from the grave. The same could be happening in The Walking Dead. Granted I've stopped watching the show so I don't know if they explained anything else about the outbreak.

Natually some suspension of disbelief is required. In the real world, I doubt civizilation would collapse because of zombies.

And no one cares either.

Much like the zombies it features the show itself (and the comic to a lesser extent) has become a shambling horror reeking with the stench of decay and badly needing a bullet to the head.

At this point the only reason they're keeping it going is because the producer has flat out said that they're more or less following the plot line of the comic and that they are basically using it as a crib sheet because they're too lazy to try and be creative with it.

I don't even mind them following the comic because it's like an alternate universe version of the comic so it's still fresh as far as characters and what's going to happen to them.

But stuff like "The Kingdom" is just ridiculous in the TV WD universe. Like I said I thought it was dumb in the comic but it just is flat out retarded when you see it on TV. Having the "King" talk like an old Medieval English king is just dumb. It doesn't fit in with the world they've built. I mean, it has zombies but other than that it's basically the real world and the "Kingdom" just does not fit into this universe.

I think Kirkman or whatever his name is has entered Tarantino land where he thinks everything he's written is genius and he doesn't have anyone around to call him on his BS.

He's trying to be George Romero...and failing badly.

Even Mr, Romero had to eventually admit that he'd gone about as far as he could ideas wise with the Living Dead series and put it to bed for good after a particularly bad sequel to the series in the 90's got eviscerated by critics and fans alike.

What The Walking Dead needs right now is a hiatus for a year or two so it can go away and think about what its done, a new team of writers who use the comic as a template and not a cheat sheet from which they can basically do a 1 to 1 transfer of all the dialog from the comic (I'm surprised that they don't credit the copy-paste tool in MS Word as a "writer") and a new producer who isn't so high on himself that he can't see when something isn't working and make changes as needed.

Yeah, the original Night of the Living Dead is great, Dawn is good, cheesy as hell but it's a fun movie.

After that they just got worse and worse.

Day is garbage and Land was worse. I talked two friends into going to see it on opening night and I was really embarrassed at how bad it was. Fighting over paper money? I get Romero was trying to make his point on society but it was just dumb.

I saw the sequel after Land and part of the one after that but don't remember much except they were awful.

I think zombies, at least the Romero kind,, are somplayed out at the moment there isn't much more they can do with them.

This season of WD is the worst since the second IMO. A lot of ridiculous silly dialogue with way too little action.

I stopped watching when they faked Glenn's death. That was the shark jump.

I still watch but I've become disinterested. The filler episodes need to stop.

JDM does a good job portraying Negan, however whenever he isn't on the screen, I instantly get bored.

Most of my friends growing up always wished for a zombie apocalypse and i was confused. I wondered why the fuck would you want everything gone? Most people dead and trying to bring you into that.

But it was because they wanted to kill. They wanted to be able to bash peoples' heads in with bats or pop a hole through their nugget with a bullet.

I used to love it. I used to love what the world offered. As long as you had imagination, determination, and the tenacity to deal with what came in your way.

But due to mental illness i ended up damaging my body quite badly. The way people treated me after it. All i ever wanted to do was help society and try and propel us to another level.

But i was treated as a pariah. I watched the most viscious person i have ever encountered, be heralded as a hero. Fuck society. It isn't that they are retarded per se. They are just pussies. They root for the underdog in the cinema. Not in real life though. They are too scared to support the weaker guy so they flock to the one who has strength.

Unfortunately i do still have empathy but i am going to do whatever i can to get rid of that shit because all it has done was fuck my life up in a way you cant even imagine and these assholes are all having a good life.
