There are only a few directors that are truly geniuses for every generation. The rest is just people who make a living by directing average moving pictures. Geniuses like Hitchcock for thrillers, John Hughes for teen and comedy, John Carpenter for horror, James Cameron for sci-fi, Kubrick for everything, just to name the few of the most famous which movies you want always to rewatch. Movie making is based on just one visionary person, and after this person quits making movies, it is really hard to find another genius to fill the gap. After you have watched one movie made by a genius, you suddenly start to comprehend that the majority of movies are just time killers made by average people.

Especially I miss John Hughes. I still can't find new good movies about youth in this last decade.
