What's everybody's take on this unique confection? Action stalwart and grizzled badass Chuck Bronson stars as a detective investigating a string of gruesome murders perpetrated by a cunning sociopath.

Wiki classifies it as a "thriller" as opposed to horror film, but the line is definitely blurred when you consider that the manner in which the villain disposes of his victims (knife) and the escalating body count resemble the slasher cinema so prevalent at the time.

***As a side note, given the site's synopsis and everything else I read, I figured that Gene Davis would be filling in for Ted Bundy as an attractive charmer who lures women only to brutally kill them. While Davis certainly has the looks, he lacks all manners of social grace and instead stalks his prey.

Thought you meant Tom Hardy for a minute.

Anyway, nice idea. Dunno who would succeed Bronson, though. Maybe Tom Atkins with the moustache...

Big fan; excellent movie. I've always thought of it as horror. It's definitely slasher-y enough.

Some of Bronson n Thompson's collaborations were amazing action flicks. The killer is shown from the beginning and there is no mystery in that, but his methods of killing are whats interesting. Gene Davis was noteworthy The ending chase scene shud b seen to b believed, very cheesy.

Great ultra trashy serial killer thriller with Bronson in fine form. Gene Davis is such a hoot as the psycho. Bronsons' reaction to finding his little toy is priceless, as the scene later where he grills him about it. "IT'S FOR JACKING OFF, ISN'T IT?????"

roger ebert helped it go straight to video in the 80s.little did he know the 3 and 4 death wish movies were gonna be made.at the time bronson took unfitting chances probably paying big hospital fees due to his wife having cancer.she survived longer due to his movie takes,so good on him.thought 10 to midnight was a success in my book, still remember renting it for the first time and was pleasantly surprised.probably re-watched it know 3 or 4 times.
