Are you pessimist or delusional about new movies?

Personally, after this decade I quit expecting anything good from Hollywood. Only useless remakes, reboots and sequels, no real new, groundbreaking movies. What about you, are you a pessimist, an optimist or even delusional about the future of Hollywood?

I don't have much hopes for the artistic vision of Hollywood and mainstream cinema, but I've been pleasantly surprised by a number of remakes and sequels. I thought Captain America: Civil War was the most enjoyable superhero film in years, and The Jungle Book blew me away.
(On the other hand, I found Suicide Squad to be atrocious; I didn't like Deadpool; and, although I enjoyed Rogue One, it stands as one of my least favourite Star Wars films.)

Hollywood will keep producing crapoy movies and charge an absurd amount of ticket price in order to make up the difference in low sales. At 20 bucks per ticket it is easy for a film to reach top of box office. And stupid people will continue to waste their money.

La La Land is technically groundbreaking.

99% of the movies made in the last 30 years have been AWFUL.

There were less remakes last year than in a long time jackass.

There were movies like Arrival, La La Land, Moonlight Manchester by the Sea
, Manchester by the Sea, Lion, Sing Street, Loving, Captain Fantastic, The Witch , The Lobster and hundreds of others that were original films last year that weren't remakes sequels or reboots. And not every sequel, remake or reboot is bad. Deadpool and Finding Dory were both good movies.

All this "Hollywood has ran out of good ideas" crap is what morons say when they're hit with Nostalgia. There has ALWAYS been a ton of remakes, reboots and sequels and there will ALWAYS be original films. Don't like a certain movie? Fine, there will be other movies you WILL like. Grow up and stop complaining, vote with your pocket book and see a movie you DO like, If you don't go to the theaters and see good movies YOU are the problem.
