Star Wars TFA - Rey Is The Descendent Of...SPOILER ALERT!

1 Name: Anonymous : 2017-01-02 19:22
After watching it again just now - my guess is Obi Wan Kenobi.

Has to be.

She's pretty damn powerful and my foreshadow is her using the mind trick on the storm trooper - same as Obi Wan so many years ago.

🙌

i'll take my cookie now, thank you very much. :)

Why does Rey have to be related to anyone in I - VI?

It's like the Death Star...we've already done that too many times.

then how is she so damned powerful so quickly?

genetics is the easiest explanation, yes?

then how is she so damned powerful so quickly?

She was a good fighter even before she left Jakku. She probably had to fight off people most of her life on that planet while unknowingly using the force while doing so.

genetics is the easiest explanation, yes?

Maybe there's someone who was strong in the force but wasn't in films I - VI. I don't think the blind guy from "Rogue One" was related to anyone we'd seen in the other movies.

But even at the end of Rogue One, Donnie Yen gets his ass handed to him. :)

TBH I thought Darth Vader would have had a show down with him and made quick work of it - showing us just how powerful Vader had become.

then how is she so damned powerful so quickly?

She's a Mary Sue.
7 Name: Anonymous : 2017-01-02 20:18
Is that Qui-gon Jin's granddaughter then? :)

Anyway on the bridge, Kylo Ren was asking Han Solo for help...in murdering Solo not in saving Kylo.

After the fifth viewing, I really get that feeling.

Honestly she's a bland Mary Sue, I really don't care. These new Star Wars movies are horrible. Right now I just think of the force awakens and Rogue one as fan fiction. Really, really bad fan fiction.

I consider George Lucas made prequels really really bad fan fiction and TFA and Rogue One canon.

GTFO!

I-III are terrible in their own way.

I mean visually they were fantastic masterpieces but the story line of I was ugh.

Rogue One was great IMO. I felt like an 8 year old again reliving the magic.

I-III never gave me that feeling.

The prequels were better than force awakens and Rogue one. Despite their problems I at least cared about the characters. The two new ones bored me to death and a Star Wars movie had never done that to me previously. The new moves are garbage.

The CGI in the prequels is not aging well at all. Lucas unrealistically tried to push the envelope past what the technology was effectively capable of back then and now it looks really cartoonish and fake.

I agree on "Rogue One." I felt like I was back in the real "Star Wars" galaxy with all the gritty sets.

ikr. I mean Kylo Ren had only been badly injured by being shot by Chewbacca's weapon. Had already defeated Finn and had an opportunity to kill Rey but wasn't trying to kill her. Nor had Ren fully finished his training. Ren's emotions were everywhere after killing his father and hes clearly conflicted about Rey.

Of course its crazy that a person who had been fighting with a lightsaber like weapon her whole life eventually managed to defeat a badly injured and extremely emotionally conflicted Padawan, which was what Kyle Ren basically was, who wasn't even trying to kill her.

I MEAN ITS CRAZY!!

She's either Luke or Han's kid. The "Jedi Mind Trick" that Obi-Wan used in the original is just that, a trick. Qui-Gon tried using it in Phantom Menace on Watto.

Besides, Obi-Wan is a true Jedi... and love is forbidden with them! (Well, it wasn't originally, but it became forbidden in Episode 2 when Anakin fell in love with Padme).

Lucas can't write a story to save his life! I'm glad that he sold off the rights. The franchise is already better off with these latest two installments than the prequels ever offered.

No the prequels were very well written just poorly executed, the over reliance on CGI was a big problem they had. TFA was poorly written all it was was a rehash of A New Hope.

have you never seen dragonball z?

they're all just rehashes and more rehashes.

still beloved into 291 episodes and a lot of spin-offs. :)

Nope never saw it. Inspector gadget is pretty much the same thing every single episode but the difference is inspector gadget is so campy and ridiculous it doesn't really take itself seriously and it kind of works. Rehashing a previous movie plot point for plot point doesn't work with Star Wars.

You got to be kidding. No director no matter how skilled could've possibly done anything with the screenplays for I and II.

III was the only one that was even passable (and just barely at that.)

So, while living in solitude on Tatooine, he managed to impregnate some woman?

I think not.

It is more likely that Rey is Luke's daughter.

If the old Jedi mind trick is your key evidence, you should remember that Luke is able to do it also, as he successfully used it on Bib Fortuna.

Post this crap on the nerd board, dork.
22 Name: Anonymous : 2017-01-02 22:33
Will the other guy turn out to be the love child of Leia and Lando?
23 Name: Anonymous : 2017-01-02 22:37
lol

at least Finn had imperial storm trooper training and breeding so that kind of explains his ability to fight as needed.
24 Name: Anonymous : 2017-01-02 22:49
No way. It happened a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Back then, interracial relationships were frowned upon.
25 Name: Anonymous : 2017-01-02 23:46
Everyone on Alderaan had the force.
26 Name: Anonymous : 2017-01-02 23:53
Cats.

Rey is another incarnation of the elusive "Chosen One"
28 Name: Anonymous : 2017-01-03 00:04
Didn't Luke bring balance to the force already?
29 Name: Anonymous : 2017-01-03 00:14
hmm, I'm no expert

I thought so, too, but I think the new Star Wars movies say no, he didn't. He just stopped the evil empire. Judging from how quickly things got out of whack again (back to square one with the empire rising and the Jedis in hiding), the force is still out of balance. So now we need another Chosen One.

I think.

I'm confusing myself now.
30 Name: Anonymous : 2017-01-03 00:31
you are my hero today.

i cannot tell you how many heated discussions i've been in with people telling me it was anakin who brought balance to the force.

ha!

it was luke IMO.
31 Name: Anonymous : 2017-01-03 00:33
Anakin as vader brought balance to the force by killing the emperor
32 Name: Anonymous : 2017-01-03 00:38
Shes lukes daughter, darth vader granddaughter thats why so strong.

Vader was the most powerful jedi ever.
33 Name: Anonymous : 2017-01-03 00:43
how can u say that?

when angered over giving away the secret of his sister, luke beat the tar out of vader.
34 Name: Anonymous : 2017-01-03 00:57
Rey needs to be related to Palpatine
