Say something nice about the Force Awakens.

I mean, if you even can.

It has the best lead performance of the entire franchise.

Are you as amazed as I was by the response of the critics to that film? It wasn't a bad film but I couldn't help but be disappointed given that level of hype.

You're not the only one.

Of all the stories they could have done, they chose to do a soulless remake of A New Hope? 30 years later and the same stuff is going on with the rebels and Empire? It just felt lazy to me.

At least it was cool to see Harrison Ford as Han again.

There were Stars and Wars.

I thought Harrison Ford did a good job as an elder Han Solo and it was nice to see him again with Chewbacca.

It's a great follow-up to Return of the Jedi.

Are you *beep* stupid or just brainwashed? It was the OPPOSITE of a great follow-up. It is hugely disrespectful to Return of the Jedi and in fact the whole Original Trilogy and the character's fight and struggle to defeat the empire. TFA made no logical sense as the continuation of ROTJ.

Educate yourself by watching this two part video on why TFA was garbage: https://dis.4ct.org/tele/read/1482247744/1

Perhaps it's not too late for you if you watch it and realize the error of your ways.

We get to see the trio and Ackbar again.
Rey was hot.
Finn was funny.

That's about it. Pretty much everything else was a failure.

I thought it was mildly enjoyable

It was the first film in 22 years worthy of joining the original trilogy: thrilling and moving in parts, with the character of Rey a lovely addition to the universe (and with some wonderful music written for her by John Williams).

It's not that I don't "get" the prequels; I just don't think they're any good.

And to be perfectly frank I simply don't care whether or not I understand George Lucas or "George Lucas's vision" or anything like that - and nor should you. It's not the same thing as being able to appreciate Star Wars.

That's because your a gay faggot that likes to jack off to horrible cartoons like Lilo & Stich.

Kylo Ren is a great character.

I watched it for free.
16 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-20 17:17
It's a good movie. At this point you're just trolling.

'Apple product' filmmaking at it's finest i.e., most cynical.

I can't credibly criticize it, because I haven't seen it, nor do I intend to. Same goes for the rest of the movies in the series.

Daisy Ridley was excellent.

the scene where Han solo dies has some cool shots

What's The Force Awakens???
22 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-20 17:59
No, it wasn't, you brainwashed Disney loving fool! Are you just saying that because Rey was hot? Yes, she was hot, but that doesn't instantly make this craptastic remake good, brah.
