Didn't know Disney hired the Walking Dead writers to write the script for Rogue One.

Some die before that. They don't all die
You'd have to specify who 'they' are. There are a lot of people

Ip Man dies at the end, what a gyp.

Not fishing for compliments. Just thoughts on the character.
"good," "disappointing," "favorite character," "forgettable," "just there" etc

just a necessary character

overacted for a character that was underdeveloped

So now that you have watched the first "A Star Wars Story" film, what do you expect from the upcoming Han Solo film?
26 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-17 02:49
>>25
hopefully making the Kessel Run at least once
27 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-17 02:54
Just left the theater. I predicted all the major plot points within 10 minutes, but still a better movie than TFA. For the 2 minutes of screen time he got, Vader was totally badass. The cgi governor Tarkin bugged the shit out of me. Seriously, they couldn't just find someone to play him like they did for revenge of the sith?

can someone tell me why Darth Vader oders to blow up their own planet? Its literally their High Security Data Vault for the entire Empire. (And they were winning the battle, too)

He knew the Transmission was already out, so it cannot be a last-ditch effort to stop it. Can someone fill me in? makes no fucking sense, huge plothole, its literally the writers going "and then they all die huehuehue"
29 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-17 03:11
I've seen it. I can't tell you any of the characters names. That's how memorable the whole shitshow was.
30 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-17 03:15
>>29
compared to The Force Awakens?
31 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-17 03:40
>>30
Well I can tell you the names of those characters. So I guess it's worse than TFA
32 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-17 03:45
>>30
Probably because TFA character names were easier to remember than Cassian Andor or Jyn Erso.

Tho I will say, Jyn > Rei.
33 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-17 03:49
All the characters were forgettable except K2SO, who was good for a few laughs. The battles were cool, but the plot was predictable bullshit.
34 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-17 03:54
Duh, they say that in the original star wars you fucking r-tard
35 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-17 04:00

no shit. I watched the originals, I know the rebels died getting the schematics for the death star.

HAHA I RUINED IT BY REPEATING SHIT THAT'S BEEN KNOWN SINCE THE 1970s
36 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-17 04:14

not the names, but the movie. How was it compared to The Force Awakens?
37 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-17 04:20

Well that was fucking obvious. It's like no one even watched a New Hope

"Many Bothans died to bring us this information"
inb4 no Bothans because Disney are shit.

Maybe im a bit biased because I'm fucking sick of Jedis and their total inclusion during the prequels. But I liked Rogue One far more because the only Force user is Vader. Everyone else is normal, Jyn isn't like some superhero Jedi. She's a normal chick who kicks ass. Plus I think Felicity Jones is way cuter than Daisy Ridley.

That's what a thought and I brought it up a an earlier thread, but the gentlemen there kindly reminded me that the bothans dying was mentioned in Jedi, for the second Death star
43 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-17 07:26
Anyone else feel as though the music was shit?

Definitely needed John Williams. I couldn't get into this new music at all and kept having to mentally dub over it with decent star wars tracks.

If the empire has one unifying philosophy, it's that failure equals death -- that the empire is far from forgiving is seen time and time again in episodes IV-VI. By wiping the base off the planet with the Death Star, Vader ensures the death of every rebel fighter and every imperial failure.

Han Solo learns how to be cool from a strong black lesbian smuggler who is Lando's sister.

Yeah... movie could have been 145 minutes of fucking credits followed by that 5 minutes of Vader slicing the shit out rebel scum and I'd still have been happy.

Pay attention Disney... we want a movie about Vader hunting down and exterminating the Jedi, and I'm not talking about little kids. 2 hours of this Vader kicking ass slaughtering Jedi who managed to avoid Order 66? Sign me the fuck up.

The blind guardian was obviously force-sensitive, but point taken; we've re-tread high-power Star Wars time and time again, and it's time for something different.

Wayne Pygram, famous for playing Scorpius on Farscape, also played Tarkin in Episode III. He actually sounds like Peter Cushing and the resemblance is pretty striking too.

The CGI characters were a bit too uncanny valley for me.

Honestly, I wish they would just re-cast all the major characters from the original trilogy with younger actors. This would piss off a lot of fanboys but overjoy others because they'll be able to further develop the OT characters, especially since the whole EU was retconned by Disney. Also, Forrest Whitakers character should get his own movie.

That is what Episode 1 and 2 should have been, make it happen now. Episode 3 is Rogue One.

Then we can sweep the shitty prequels under the rug with the Holiday special and forget about them forever.
