Otherwise Kylo is part of the Skywalker lineage.

Loosing limbs seems to be a common occurance in the Star Wars universe. I guess playing with unweighted electric swords wouldn't help, nor would the jumping and flipping around. With all of the kicks they use in fights, i'm surprised no one's lost a leg.

It happens the the second and third installments of every trilogy: wampa and Luke (Ep V); Vader (Ep VI); Anakin (Ep II); Dooku, Grievous, Mace and Vader (Ep III). Now, often in the prequels, arms were lost, but I think Kathleen Kennedy (in trying to rip off the originals) will require that it only be hands in the sequels. What a god awful person she is.

Come to think of it, 3PO and somebody wearing a helmet need be decapitated: apparition and 3PO (Ep V); 3PO and Jango (Ep II). So, Phasma is a good candidate for Ep VIII, right? O, and there absolutely must be some Force lighting in Ep IX. This will be either Snoke, Kylo or Rey, maybe but doubtfully Luke or Leia.

This is a difficult question because we can never know for sure.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Rey cuts off Kylo Ren's hand.

Set photos show her with a missing arm, so something like that.

I'm surprised no one lost a hand in Force Awakens. When Rey was beating Kylo down to the ground in the saber fight I thought for sure one of his meat hooks was coming off.

Rey might lose one of her hands to Kylo Ren in Episode 8. I would not doubt it.
