Back when I was in college*, our student union gave a challenge: anyone who could sit through, back to back to back, Plan Nine From Outer Space, Robot Monster, and Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla; would get two movie passes for later films at the union. Due to my financial situation at the time, I took the challenge and SOMEHOW managed to endure all three. The first two were in the category of "so awful they're fun to watch," but the last one was an unfunny comedy -- I was looking at my watch LITERALLY every ten minutes, wondering how much longer I had to endure.

* If you're curious, this was in the days before VHS and cable channels like TCM, so getting to see classic film at our student union was a real joy for this cinephile.
