The more I think about it the movie is a 6.5 instead of 7.5.

I admit I was disappointed, but what surprised me is the reaction on /tele/ seems to be the same, I thought people would be deluding themselves with rosetinted glasses. The whole movie felt like a cash grab and didn't have any soul to it.

He was shown to be petulant and weak.

He was good till mask came off

He was intimidating as fuck the first scene he was in. Stopping that bullet in mid-air and all that. He was creepy and mysterious and cool.

And then he took his helmet off and just looked like a goofy kid, and he was all whiny about not being like Vader enough.

And he couldn't even force control a girl with no experience using the force up until that moment. Made him look weak as fuck.

Have no idea what they are planning to do with his character.

It would be cheesy and predictable if over the course of the next 2 films he gradually comes back to the light side....only to die a hero at the last moment.

Or just stays on the dark side, occasionally whining about how the light side still pulls at him.

It's like an emo Anakin Skywalker cheese-fest all over again.

You dont even need to be force sensitive to resist force control. Jabba the Hut resisted Luke. Obi-Wan even said that the force can have great influence on the weak minded. Rey was NEVER weak minded.

Every time I see Rylo Ken or Kylo Ren I think of the L.A. band Rilo Kiley. The filmmakers could've pushed themselves a little more to come up with original names beyond free associating from their local music scene. Down with accidental plagiarism. 😛

He looked like Vinnie Barbarino without the mask. Still, I think he was my favorite character in the movie.

Because he was screwed up. Not as powerful as he thought he was. I thought the actor pulled it off.
