up until 1:11, when Jesse Eisenberg appears, then it's just completely ruined, and they even make it worse by spoiling the entire movie. All of the tension established in the first minute between superman and batman just evaporates completely when Eisenberg shows up. IMO they could've just shown the first minute as a teaser/preview and it would've been great.

Then Not-Doomsday jumps out and puts the nail in the coffin. WB is going to renew their title as making some of the worst comic book movies possible.

Not even remotely. He was created by an alien scientist and repeatedly killed over and over again on ancient Krypton until he developed his adaptive evolution abilities. I understand needed to alter it somewhat but basically making him a mutated Zod zombie is utterly retarded.

Well in the comics, yeah. He's one of the most powerful beings in the DCU. He comes back to life every time he's killed (which at this point is extremely difficult to do) and develops an immunity to whatever previously killed him.

can't remember the name of the series off hand but it was pretty scary for me as an 8 year old.

There was a brief time when he was near sentient. I don't mean like the Smallville ѕhіt; more like at the end of Predator (1987) but not as much. I've never been much of a DC fan, but he's probably been my favorite villain. I should catch up on his storylines, but Death of Superman will always be awesome.

Yeah, ultimately Superman had to trap him in between points in time at one point so he was being constantly teleported. Freezing him doesn't really do anything at this point. Even in his first appearance (Death of Superman arc) Ice's powers were completely ineffective against him.
