ever since the first dvd release, her full frontal nude scene had her crotch blurred, but in the criterion blu-ray release, it has been un-blurred and can finally be seen :'D

but the criterion blu-ray restores it and now if u turn up the brightness u can clearly see her cooch

It was, in fact. I asked Lynch about it in his chat room once and he said that Laura Harring personally asked him to do it. He said that she was embarrassed over it and he was happy to oblige her.

I don't know anything about the Criterion release. Did Lynch have anything to do with it? I know the original DVD of this and others didn't have chapter stops, but my understanding is that the Criterions do. Things change in 15 years I guess.

Maybe they both came to their senses and realized that it was a shame to deny the world such a beautiful image.
