The Room (2003), an incredibly powerful film.

Some reviews have suggested it is best to go into this film knowing as little as possible and I agree. Without giving away anything, I would say it's one the most emotionally potent films I've seen in recent memory. Not everyone will take to the story's approach but I resoundingly recommend this film.

I agree. When Johnny trashed the apartment and then killed himself all because of Lisa's pettiness, I was almost in tears.

The novel is one of my all-time favorites and I'm eagerly awaiting the film.
I've heard Brie Larson is magnificent and the little boy is great, too.
