Well the first 17 mins! Good Lord McConaughey's southern accent is awful. Also, what the hell kind of premise is this? There is a severe drought, yet farmers can't use their technology to overcome this situation? So the world needs Mc McConaughey to save the day? Are you joking? And who cares about the last crop of okra ever? Okra isn't even a superfruit! Nolan couldn't choose a more important vegetable like tomatoes?

Those are just things that prevent me from taking this movie seriously. Okay back to it.

This is not a drought. How would you even know McConaughey is supposed to save the day if you are only 17 minutes in ? Potatoes are long gone, like most vegetables, which is why losing one of the few remaining crops is such a big deal.

I really wish that someone would spoil this movie for me. Here's an example, you could tell me why the hell Matthew's character has to go into space. Why humanity is dying. What's the deal with all that sand everywhere. Why Anne Hathaway was casted.

I'm assuming that Matthew is the hero of the story since humanity is going to starve to death. Why else is his character an engineer turned farmer and becomes so distracted by a damn drone crash? Why else would his father be nagging him about procreation. Why else would all those old people giving their oral testimony about how it all began if Matthew isn't the one who's going to discover the solution to humanity's issue?

The movie answers all those questions (well except Hathaway's casting obviously, for that you would have to ask Nolan himself). And it's his father in law by the way.

I don't see how you can expect to appreciate a movie fully if you're going to stop it all the time and come here to complain about things before the movie has even explained them.

I'm wondering if you haven't actually seen it all already and are just trolling with those questions.
