Great premise, poorly executed.

The movie was way to slow. And once it got going, it ended.
Tom Hardy was fine, but he was even more unhearable with his mumbling and his Russian accent. Also, Gary Oldman was a throwaway character. He barely had anything to do. Although the posters are advertising him as one of the main supporting actors.

I'd give it 5/10.

At the time I was annoyed that I missed it, but the more I hear the less annoyed I feel.

I'd say it was a great premise at least competently executed. I thought there was more than enough momentum and story right from the scene at the farm, or in Berlin, whichever was first.

The Russian accents were the only serious misjudgement. In the fiction, these people were talking in Russian; I'm not keen on the convention that has this being represented by English in a Russian accent. The best thing to do is come up with a consistently neutral-sounding English accent, North American or BBC or mid-Atlantic.

But if you are going to go the English-with-a-Russian-accent route, at least make it consistent. Having some characters speaking with a much thicker accent than others makes absolutely no sense. What is that supposed to signify - that everyone is speaking in Russian, but some are using an even more Russian kind of Russian than others?

You know what, it was certainly flawed but I found it compelling and entertaining from the first frame to the last. I actually liked Hardy quite a bit here.
