The last time Paul Bettany mouthed off about an actor's talent, he got bitchslapped by Tom Hardy in a very early role [The Reckoning]. Jason Statham can't act, but if everyone who noticed it called him out for it, there wouldn't be space for anything else on the internet.

Plus Jason Statham is 100% correct on this matter, I pay to see the actor not some stunt-double, only bad actors would use them, can anyone name a Paul Bettany film? No, can anyone name a Jason Statham film? yes, bad luck Paul Bettany you picked the wrong fight.

I also think so.

You can be one note in cinema (maybe not in theater), if they're enough role opportunity for that note out there and you charismatic enough in it, directors will want to use you.

Tbf, Bettany's not exactly the greatest actor ever. I mean, he's okay, but I'm not able to keep a straight face when I hear him slagging off other actors. Evens someone as one note as Jason Statham.

Bettany's got one of those faces you'd like to punch.

Stath's a bigger star and has more of a screen presence than Bettany can hope for. Also he's been in Lock stock and Snatch which are much better than anything Bettany has been involved in.
