Each of those films you've listed above have made up more than the combined box-office collections of the top 10 films around 25-30 years ago.
So I don't think a 'death' is anywhere near. Sure, there are always genre changes, something new comes and takes over the old.

Unnecessary remakes of older popular films, reboots of a very recent franchise and sequels upon sequels.
Unoriginality is pretty much the issue in Hollywood today.
