Does the fact that a Ryan Gosling or Jake Gyllenhaal not bankable in the sense that Chris Pratt/Channing Tatum hurt their career or limit their chances at getting the quality films or working with top directors? Or is it simply that the Gyllenhaals and Goslings prefer indie films or projects that showcase material not seen on larger productions? Do actors today need to be as bankable as they were in the past?
