Isn't it depressing you might die before a sequel comes out

Take the original Star Wars movies. Many of the fans of those movies are dead by now. They thought they were seeing a finished product. They never would have never fathomed that the series would continue many decades later.

Take your favorite movies -- it's possible there will be sequels/continuations to those movies long after your death. Full Metal Jacket 2, A Clockwork Orange 2, hell a new Godfather trilogy in 2070. And you'll never get to see them because you'll be dead.

There's going to be so many great movies that come out after we die. I wonder if Heaven lets you watch new movies after they come out. That'd be cool.

I don't see why people would care because those movies don't need sequels, they are great standalone movies.

Yeah. One of my biggest fears is dying before Bill and Ted 3 comes out.

That's the kind of stuff that keeps me awake at night, man.

It's allowed. In Heaven everything is fine.

Yeah, that's what they tell you: Then you get hammered with Oscar Wilde and try and feel up Heath Ledger and all of a sudden Beelzebub is dragging you away by your fingernails and Corey Haim is laughing at you.

Surely by 2070, Hollywood will have come up with a couple new films that put their own stamp on the history of cinema in the same big way that those three films that you just talked about did that no filmmaker working then will even bother. And in the unlikely event that I'm still around then, I would treat a sequel the same way I treat most of them right now. I'd flip them the bird and watch something else.

Not really. You're a long time dead ... can't take it with you .., life's a box of chocolates and all that.
