I've seen the scene and she looks great but it was also a scene that could have easily been done with a body double (Or without showing any nudity at all, like Terry Hatcher's scene in Desperate Housewives where she is caught in public nude but nothing explicit is shown)

I'm all for women feeling empowered by showing off their body if they feel great and look great. I'm just wondering if this was another beautiful actress looking to get her career going again and figuring that a nude scene at 48 will at least put her name in a lot of conversations.

If she's doing nude scenes right now I'll NEVER question her motives.

Having said that if she's still doing them after her looks drop off, wrinkles and everything, then I might start to suspect desperation.

Maybe that's how she felt. The scene is more playful and humorous than erotic, though she does look pretty great.

I say if the scene makes sense within the context of the film and the moment of the film, then that is all that matters.

However, if anyone does a nude scene and it doesn't 'require' one, then it's just an attention seeking thing.

I suppose this scene fits the film but truthfully, it could have been done without it. Getting caught outside nude holding a pillow over your front has been done to death in comedy.

She's done a fair amount of nudity so that may not be a fair assessment.

I would NOT say it's because her career has hit a LULL.

Truth is, outside of Frida, she's never been anywhere near a Glenn Close or Meryll Streep, Julie Roberts kind of headliner.

She's getting a lot of work in her 40's and not all of it as a MOM or whatever.

She had nice roles in Here Comes the Boom and Savages.

Additionally, I think most women are a little vain and if someone thinks she's gonna look great in the nude at 48, they'll want to show it off.

Any Academy Award nominated actress doing multiple Adam Sandler movies as a token hot wife would have to be considered in at least a bit of a lull in her career.

On the surface, yeah, it looks like that.

But I'd look at her resume and that her nomination is a one off.

Remember, her filmography prior to that was just slightly better than ordinary and she's been nominated twice for a Golden Rasberry or whatever that is.

I don't care about the "why" of it. She wanted to do it, she did it, and I'm a happy dude (haven't seen the movie but maybe I will at some point).

Although for me her sexiest turn was one where she wasn't nude: the dance in From Dusk til Dawn

She's fricking rich, so I don't think it's because her career has hit rock-bottom. Honestly, I think she's just doing a nude scene at her age, because she likes to, call me crazy, but I think that's the reason why.
