Can you recommend some recent Jewish-related films?

I've got an interview on Friday with UK Jewish Film. They don't specifically ask for an interest in Jewish cinema or culture, but there's a chance they'll ask me about it so I want to be prepared.
For all the films I've seen, my knowledge of Jewish cinema is pretty much limited to Woody Allen, the Coen Brothers, and the multitude of Holocaust films - but I'm thinking that's a bit too obvious.
Can anyone recommend something from, let's say, the last 15 years, that's not Woody or Coens or Holocaust-related. Something of good quality that is insightful into Jewish culture or religious life (even if it's just a "setting" for an unrelated narrative). It can be in any language.

>>4Yeah! That was something, surely.
Not only was that film based on several documented real life individuals, but also, a secret Jew became the leader of the Illinois Nazi Party in the 70's. In fact, I think it's the same group that was parodied in The Blues Brothers (1980).

Interesting topic. Not to brag but I am something of an expert on Judaism and Jewish culture, especially in America.
One theme of the Jewish existence is its "stateless" quality and various mass-migrations. The Jewish immigrant experience and community in the United States has been captured in a number of high profile films, such as Hester Street (1977) and Once Upon a Time in America (1984). There is also Yentl (1983).
I know this from a Jewish girlfriend that I had, is The Prince of Tides (1991) is important to Jewish culture in some way. I do not know more.
Of course those are not within the last fifteen years. A newer Israeli film concerning female soldiers of the IDF is Zero Motivation (2014).
Good luck with the interview.

You might want to look at the films of the Argentine Daniel Burman - Lost Embrace (El abrazo partido) is pretty good, Family Law (Derecho de familia) is better but the "Jewish" part of the theme is less central. I haven't seen his newest film (The Mystery of Happiness, 2014) yet.

Some really excellent suggestions here, thanks everyone. I wish I had more than two days notice for the interview, heh, but as it is I'll just have to pick one or two.

What exactly is the position for which you are applying? Also, are you Jewish at all? If you are, be sure to mention it at your interview! You also might want to consider dyeing your hair dark if it's not dark naturally. I'm being totally serious.

Oh cool, looks pretty impressive, should be good PR training (something I could have used a bit more of when I was younger).
Good luck.

Check out A Price Above Rubies (1998). I liked it well enough. Hasidic Judaism explored.
Best of luck to you.
