People who watch movies on their tiny cell phones already get the hate they deserve but for some reason those who watch movies on their iPad/laptops get a free pass. I don't know how people can stomach to watch movies that are designed to be watched on a big screen on some crappy laptop screen.

It's enough that even the best HD televisions of today still can't compete with the theater experience. Movies are mean to be seen on a big screen with huge speakers, not on some crappy phone or laptop.

I think Nolan once said that if you watch a movie on your phone, you haven't actually seen the movie the way it should. And I agree with that.

Well it beats sitting around and doing nothing on a long plane ride.

That's no excuse. I prefer to read books when I'm on a plane or play on my iPhone or annoy other passengers on board to pass the time. But I love movies and real movie fans will always insist on seeing them on the biggest best quality screen possible.
