It is important to give women a chance to be directors, because many women have talent, have directed extraordinary films and yet, vanish after a promising first picture. I've seen it happen countless times (Debra Granik, Patty Jenkins, Nicole Kassell, Courtney Hunt), directors, who are women, are scrutinized more.

A remarkable film, poetic, mysterious, eerie. A perfect companion piece for Picnic at Hanging Rock and I'd be more excited if she had a second film coming. She's got a film, Evolution, listed in post-production. I don't expect it to come out any soon. Unfortunate because she has a directorial vision I'd like to see progress.
