First, The Social Network arrives in some oddball cardboard thingy, and now, so does Gone Girl! Does he have something against his movies being released in the standard issued cases?

The ones that every other movie comes in? They are not aesthetically pleasing to someone like me with a mild case of obsessive compulsive disorder!

I, for one, appreciate the packaging of The Social Network and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

David Fincher has absolutely zero input into the packaging design for the DVD releases of his movies. That job is done by the marketing department at Sony.

I don't think he has control over such things.

He might have requested the studio have his movies released with minimal plastic.

I doubt he is the one who decide this
