Jurassic World is now number 27 in ticket sales DOMESTICALLY.

It's like saying: "And in breaking news, Jurassic World now has a release date later than that of 99% of other feature films."

Its not like every other film being released now is making those numbers. Its the third highest grossing of all time worldwide and domestically. It far exceeded its expectations.

Even adjusted for inflation is the 27th highest of all time domestically and probably higher world wide. That's still impressive regardless of its release date.

1) That's a shame. Titanic was better. However, Im sure that James Cameron is satisfied with his status among the top most profited directors in non-US markets.

2) Should have number one status although the subject manner doesnt appeal as much to non-US citizens. They prefer the special effects.

4) I suspect that the main reason that film made that much money is because of marketing. The actual movie was a letdown. I wanted to see more of Lord Voldemort and his evil wizards. Instead we find out that the secret to Lord Voldemort's power as a leader was that of a bully. Meh

5) Never seen it. I guess Ill have to now.

6) Maybe more movie goers would rather watch more dinosaurs than yet another action movie based upon a comic book.
