I finished The Seventh Seal, and I disagree with those who were saying it's boring. It was an easy watch because 1. it's short and 2. the opening scene got me hooked. However, I do think that it got progressively worse and I definitely don't think it's anything special. Some of it is laughable (think Monty Python an The Holy Grail) but I'll admit that this and Persona, the only two Bergman films I've seen, both have a timeless feel to them. Death was awesome, and all the scenes with him were great, but I don't think that the film as a whole proves to be anything noteworthy. I prefer Persona to this and I'm thinking this'll probably be a five out of 10. Enjoyable, not bad, but overall, not a great flick IMO.

I must add that there is much more to this film than meets the eye, and I think a second viewing would help take it in more thematically.

I've never watched a Bergman film. I was intrigued though so put a load on my watch list recently.
