I would say Jaws wins this hands down because none of the sequels is very good. Second may be Candyman.

No contest. Even as a kid I mocked the sequels.

I forgot just how bad they were until I watched them again. I know 3 and 4 have awful reputations but I couldn't believe what a bore Part 2 was either.

I guess the original was so good it drained everything from the concept.

Maybe there were good people involved in #2, but if there's nothing left it turns into a ... #2.

I would say Scream, but even the original was useless.
The sequels to Hellraiser range from mediocre to awful.
Children of the Corn would be a contender but the original is average at best.

Scream is a contender but I think the Jaws sequels are much worse than the Scream ones.

I found 2 to be utterly boring and predictable. Now that I think about it I probably had a harder time making it through it than 3 and 4 because it didn't even have unintentional comedy going for it.

I second this. For how good The Howling was compared to how unwatchable the rest of the series is.

III is the other one that was half decent in my eyes.....

I think a lot of people would say Hellraiser.

What's up with the Jaws love threads lately?

Can't think of any Jaws, Candyman, Nightmare on Elm Street, Poltergeist none of these I consider as great.

Back to the Future maybe, I love the original hate the sequels.
