Has anyone watched this movie? I started watching it last night, 1 hour in turned it off and went to bed. It was shit. Thought I'd give it another chance, just finished it. Still shit.

Like, I like Clint Eastwood, he does good movies, but why did he make a movie about this retard?

Does anyone know a little bit more about Chris Kyle's (American Sniper) death? It came rather quickly in the film, and i want to know more about it.

Tried googling, haven't found anything "good".

He didn't save anyone from anything. We shouldn't have been over there in the first place. And killing random third world people was hardly a challenge for someone like Kyle.

Karma caught up with him in the end. I hope he does have to answer to God why he killed all those people for nothing but blood money.

1. He claimed that he punched out Jesse Venture, the former governor of Minnesota, at a memorial service for saying that the Navy SEALS "deserved to lose a few". Jesse Ventura sued for defamation of character, proved in court that he was nowhere near the memorial service at the time, that he had never met Chris Kyle, and won a 1.8 million dollar settlement.

2. He claimed to have shot and killed two carjackers at a gas station in DFW area, then waited for the police to arrive. When the police arrived, he gave them a pentagon number to call, had them watch the security camera tape, then said the police let him go. The story was investigated by several reporters and agencies, none of whom found any evidence that this occurred. No records of bodies at the coroners, no paperwork, no cops, no surveillance tape.

3. He claimed that, during hurricane Katrina, he and another sniper were asked by the government to go to New Orleans. He claims that when they arrived, they climbed to the top of the Superdome and began shooting looters. He claims to have shot and killed 30 looters during his visit. Except he never went to New Orleans, and just like the carjacking lie, no records exist of 30 bodies of looters killed by sniper fire. Not to mention that, at the time, the Superdome was being used as a refugee center for displaced citizens, yet no one noticed sniper fire coming from the roof.

These aren't just lies reported by others, these are lies that he wrote and sold in books, said during taped interviews, and even argued in a court of law, all of which are proven false. Add that to the fact that, as a sniper in the military, he filled out his own kill sheets.

Eastwood did a great job of making it a war movie and an anti war movie. Bradley Cooper was very good. People can say they want about Chris Kyle but I'd like to see anyone of these keyboard warriors say any of that shit to his face. Over 160 confirmed kills. Fucking US Navy Seals do not fuck around man. The dude is definitely a certified fucking bad ass. Call him a sick fuck if you want for enjoying killing but think about all the american lives he saved. Even if he did exaggerate some shit Jesus Christ all of these veterans have more balls than most people regardless how you feel about the war.

Because Chris Kyle was a human bowel movement who got killed by his own stupidity.

When they ask the military if they can use their equipment such as tanks, and what not for their movie, the military has to read the script and can adjust things in their favor until they come to an agreement before they lend them the military equipment to film with
