The first Human Centipede was actually a decent body-horror pic, but the second one was pure shit!

Pre-70's movies can be fantastic if you're not a closed minded faggot.

I have always loved Lost in Translation. I feel like it is one of the most love in or hate it films. You either get it or you don`t. I live in Japan, and this film captures the isolation and confusion that Tokyo has.
Also I fell in love with shoegaze because of this film.

Ringu isn't ACTUALLY good. I suggest you watch it. Better than the American version that added all the bullshit plot points that added nothing to the actual story, but still not great. The Grudge is... meh. Mostly just fun visual scares.
As for Event Horizon, I fucking love that movie and I've watched it 4 times but scary? Come on, man. It's campy. Like, really campy.
Can agree on Jacob's Ladder but sadly not seen the rest of them. :(

seriously, according to to metacritic the best movie in the world is about a stupid tween emo cuck, and the second is about black retarded kids in the city. wtf.

Watch The Road. The book got a ton of awards and I though the movie portrayed the book really well.

There's a documentary on Netflix called "Culture High" - watch it, very interesting stuff. It's got a lot of top experts, ex politicians and business leaders basically saying "weed is fine".
Generally it's illegal because its like prohibition with alcohol. Most of the public see it as a problem, so it's been a "war on drugs" for many years in order to gain votes.
There was one UK health adviser, basically like the surgeon general, who was forced to resign because he published a paper saying weed was less harmful than alcohol.
In regards to mental health, top experts all agree that there is no link. Schizophrenia is prevalent in about 1% of people. Weed usage has been rapidly increasing. If the two were linked, we'd see SOME sort of increase; but the schizo rate has remained 1%.
There's no direct cause & effect. Generally mental disorders form around the same time people experiment with drugs (puberty). Just like autism develops around the same age kids have vaccines.
Vaccines don't cause autism, weed doesn't cause mental health problems.

>>13the Matrix wasn't deep but it was a great execution of a great idea
people who criticise it as not being deep are probably the kind of people that get irrationally angry at philosophical scepticism
