Anyone else remember the unmasking of Jason in Part IV getting a lot of hype? This was almost 30 years ago now, so I'm wondering if this is my memory playing tricks on me. I remember people talking about how in this movie we were going to get to see his face.

I was just thinking about this after rewatching the first 3 movies last night. You actually see his face in part 2 and 3 (he looks a lot different in them - in part 3 he looks a lot like Sloth from the Goonies, in part 2 he looks like some backwoods character with half a melted face).

It just seemed odd to me. Some beliefs have a way of catching on with people, even though they don't really make a lot of sense. So I think my memory could be real, anyway.

I also thought he looked like Sloth from The Goonies. I think a lot of these popular films borrow things from each other.

Am I the only one who finds all the sex references in The Goonies a bit creepy, seeing as its supposed to be a kids' film? (not to mention the fact that one of its stars got molested by Hollywood filmmaker Victor Salva)

I remember browsing the video rental stores and I noticed the Halloween 5 VHS playing up the fact that Michael Myers would finally be unmasked in this entry. It was a selling point for me at the time, but of course, it's all in the shadows, so it's a total jip.

We already saw his ugly mug in the first Halloween. Come to think of it, he looked like Sloth as well!
