Damn, this was very hard-hitting. Has that gritty urban atmosphere like Taxi Driver and Basket Case that is rarely seen nowadays.

Made me think there are/were so many people worse off than me.

This is such a dirty and grimy movie. I seriously felt like I had to take a shower afterwards. My only complaint is the music was so annoying. Other than that, it's a powerful flick!

Great stuff! This is an excellent movie, one I recommend to most people. That ending, very Taxi Driver-esque. Not only gritty but bleak too. Very bleak.

I need to rewatch this one. Didn't really like it, but it seems almost every cult movies fan likes it.

I freaking LOVE this movie. Bar far the best movie Troma has even been involved with.

Believe it or not, from time to time, that's why I watch it. Apart from the mutant baby, it all feels so frighteningly real.

This is a really bad film that could have been good if a competent director had made it. Someone like David Lynch, perhaps.

The city has never looked worse than it appears in Combat Shock. Not flattering in the least and quite a statement as you see the lead on his walkabout with all the in-your-face misery and the culmination of life's crap all over him coming to a head as he snaps. I think nothing quite released by Troma has been as disturbing, exhausting, depressing, and unrelenting as Combat Shock. I think it is accomplished in what it does--it made an impact with me, although it is the kind of film that left me racked with anxiety and tired--but I'll probably never watch it again.
