Obscure titles worth tracking down?

I'm on a binge of tracking down obscure 70's/80's/90's horror VHS, DVDs, and wondering if anyone has any recommendations. I've exhausted the accepted cannon of Western horror, and am looking for less talked about films from this era. I enjoyed Deadly Friend by Wes Craven, and Carpenter's Prince of Darkness, so my taste falls along those lines. Any recommendations? Anything, with strong Christian overtones (I'm not a fundamentalist, but I find horror movies where the villain is PURE SATANIC EVIL to be extremely satisfying)?

2 None of these films are obscure, in fact most of them are out on Blu-Ray!

The Phantom of the Opera (1989)
Stuart Gordon's Castle Freak (1995)
After Midnight (1989)
Return to Horror High (1987)

Thanks, I'll be sure and give these a whirl, except for Popcorn...saw it already, and loved it! Dee Wallace being in it was a nice surprise.

Have you seen Litan? If not, give it a shot.

Messiah of Evil (1973) There is a shoddy copy and a really really good copy floating around on youtube. The good copy makes it a great film. I only saw this version recently and the ranking went from a "wierdo gem" to a "must see wierdo gem"

Horror Hotel (1960) Ironically, I have an old dvd with both this and Messiah on it. This is creeeepy as shit. It isn't talked about much but is damn terrifying.

Both of these are a must for Halloween or FTV for the movie challenge.
