So I've been pretty sick this week, and for some odd reason when I get sick I tend to watch more extreme horrors (not sure why that is !

Anyway I decided to put on Irreversible since its been on my Netflix queue forever.

So I started watching and got to just past the fire extinguisher scene and turned it off. Not that the fire extinguisher scene was too brutal or anything (in fact its very well done), but I couldn't stomach any more of that constantly spinning camera work.

Does it settle down?

I've never seen any of Noe's work and like the idea of Irreversible being shot backwards, but I just don't think I could watch the full movie if it continues with that.

yes it gets calmer and calmer the further into the film it gets (its the whole point of the film) prolly the best new watch Ive seen this year

Yes it does! The beginning is almost sickening, but the camera pascing gets more clamer as the movie progresses. Definitely watch the rest!

gaspar noe lives and breathes the art
i loved the soundscape of the film with the added fx in the soundtrack
he said stuff added in the sound was to make you feel uneasy/nausea
when the film visually already had that covered for the most part
people will talk about this film forever
it deserves it tho,very good overall job

I never found Irreversible extreme at all. I'm always suprised by people calling it extreme.

And I found the rape scene in 'I Spit on your Grave' to be more cringe worthy than the one in Irreversible.

Maybe I just need to see it again though
