All I remember about this movie is that there's a red light that can transfer from objects to people, and it's focused on a family inside a suburban/rural home. One specific scene I remember is that a grandmother was sitting on a bed in a dark room and her eyes glowed red as the thing, whatever it is, entered her.

Aside from this I remember that it is probably a SyFy or Lifetime movie, and was probably made in the late 90's-early 2000's. Low budget, but when I was a kid it scared the crap out of me.
