Who thinks Rousey is going to lose?

I think Rousey stomps her ass!

Unless Rousey has grown up a bit since she got her jaw broken she is going to lose some more.

The air of mystique is gone.

Not only do her opponents know she can be beaten (and broken) but she knows it now too.

The question is, did the Holm loss break her completely? Plenty of fighters have seemed indestructible until they get brutally KO'd, and then they're never the same again. Some even regain a measure of their past dominance, but they're way more cautious and pass on opportunities because they're worried about getting caught again.

But Rousey is arguably worse, since her whole schtick was how she was the greatest female fighter ever...I mean, people forget that Rousey was starting to become annoyingly ubiquitous before her loss, and how she was running her mouth about how she could beat Floyd Mayweather in a match.

I think she has the physical tools, it's just a question of her mental state.

I'm a casual viewer (pretty much the way I am with boxing now although I used to be a huge fan) and pretty much only pay attention when there's a huge fight.

I get this is a business just like any sport and one can argue her persona is/was building her mystique/dominance; however I find it very hard to root for her - she's come across extremely arrogant and very unlikable in my eyes in the past.

I agree. Not only arrogant, but white trashy in a very Springer-esque type of way. All that stuff like, "Ain't no one talks about my family like that and gets away with it!"

I can't count how many times she did interviews with radio shows and podcasts detailing her Whiskey Tango encounters and claiming various incidents in which she beat dudes up.

She also built her entire ego around her identity as a fighter, so when she got stomped she was apparently suicidal. Which is a dumb thing to do, considering it's the UFC, you don't get to duck opponents like boxers do, and EVERYONE loses at some point in their career.

GSP, Anderson Silva, Fedor Emelianenko, Jon Jones, Jose Aldo...they've all lost and know what it's like to lose. Ronda Rousey is not special in that regard, in fact she benefited from a young and weak division.

You really hate to hear things like that - about people being 'suicidal' and such over a loss - but I've got to be honest - and I rarely root for people to lose or fail - watching her cry (like CM Punk) - was kind of karma for running her mouth so much.

Not sure I'd say Jones knows what it's like to lose...

Jones has a DQ on his record, and his real losses have come outside the cage.

There was his DWI, when he hit a car with a pregnant woman in it, ran from the scene, then ran back to grab his drugs out of the car.

Then he tested positive for banned substances earlier this year, lost the opportunity to fight because of the positive test, and apparently is facing a 2-year ban.

Dude is 29 years old, and even if he cleans up his act, he's lost 3 prime years of his career to his own stupidity.

I think the winners in UFC are pretty arbitrary. Toss up, probably Rousey unless she doesn't have the same intensity as she used to.

Rousey has never been in better shape. I am not sure that accounts for a victory here, but if I had to bet, it would be on Rousey. She will most likely wipe the floor with Nunes.

Nunes isn't the stand-up fighter Holm is, and she's fucked if it goes to the ground. Probably hits harder than anyone else in the division, but if Rousey stays patient and let's her gas a bit, it's a wrap.

Also, my official prediction was that Cain wouldn't fight. So I win and Granny's the best.

Prediction? Rousey wins and Dana White, Joe Rogan and the rest of the propaganda machine at the UFC go back into hard Rousey over-hype. Probably bringing up the fact that Rousey could beat Mayweather.

Its so odd...because It should be an extremely easy fight to Predict, But due to a HUGE X-Factor its become a complete unknown...

and that X-factor is Ronda Rousey's Mind...

Its clear, she was completely broken in an almost never before seen way in her lose to HOLM...

Rousey truly thought she was invincible and shockingly she thought people owed her stuff, Its almost like in her mind she thought her Opponents shouldn't even want to beat her because of how much she's done for Women's MMA...

when she lost to HOLM...IMO I don't think I've ever seen a fighter take a lose as badly and completely break Mentally they way Rousey did...

I do not believe for a second that she took this year off to rest or for injuries....she took this year off because she's been mentally broke for a year and it didn't get any better

So it plain comes down to where Rousey is at Mentally...

If She's even close to the same fighter mentally, even like 75% of what she was...she will beat Nunes in the first round by Judo takedown and arm bar...

Rousey's ability and technique With her Judo+arm bar is still levels and years above every female fighter...Nunes is a good style match up for Rousey...If Rousey Is good Mentally She blows throw Nunes and its not even hard to pick the fight...

But NO ONE can say that...NO ONE knows how Rousey is mentally, she's doing this Media blackout and there is absolutely nothing to base an Opinion on wheres she at Mentally ...

Styles, skills and matchup wise, this an easy fight, Rousey wins...but The degree in which she broke mentally from the HOLM fight simply makes this fight almost impossible to predict...

this fight could look like another 1 to 2 minute dominate win for Rousey...

Or it could look embarrassingly bad if Shes still Broke Mentally, kinda like Lesnar/Overeem bad, when from the second Brock got in the cage he looked terrified and then once the match started he looked extremely hesitant and scared to get hit and eventually just turtled up and waited for the fight to be stopped...

I could see this fight looking that bad if Rousey is still broke mentally, I could see her looking so bad, Rogan and others don't even ask if this is her last fight because it will be that embarrassing and that obvious that she never should have came back let alone if shes going to fight again...

Its a fascinating fight...
