What is so appealing about football (NFL)? The game is literally a group of players running into each other. It's essentially a manlier version of capture the flag.
Their Superbowl trophy is tiny in comparison to the Stanley Cup or World Series.

I agree. It's fast paced, only 3 periods (which doesn't seem long enough in my opinion), and there's the occasional fight.
