It just doesn't seem to have any meaning half the time. Just because a player loses, even if they underperform...that doesn't make them all a choke.

Yes. But it's tough to say how much it's overused in general, because people on this board use it against Brady or Manning as a generic insult. Even they don't even think those players 'choked,' they just think it sounds like a bigger insult.

Palmer choked. Brady (in large part to his o-line) just didn't play his best.

The insistence with the "Palmer chocked" thing is disrespectful to the Panthers.

The Cards played the best team in the NFL, and the Panthers were on fire after their hiccup in second half against the Seahawks.

The Panthers *are* the team with the highest number of picks and forced turnovers in the entire NFL even before this game, so the fact that Palmer got picked also has to do with the merits of the Panthers' defense.

What happened to the Cardinals? The Panthers did.

It's not that Palmer chocked. It's that he was beaten badly by a superior team, the best NFL team this season.
