Three changes from the Sunderland side which lost at Tottenham a week ago, with Vito Mannone replacing Costel Pantilimon between the sticks and Sebastian Coates in for Wes Brown. Liam Bridcutt also comes in, while Adam Johnson is left out completely. Jermain Defoe again partners Steven Fletcher up front.
Fulham boss Kit Symons makes four changes from the side which beat Nottingham Forest in the Championship in midweek, with 10-goal Ross McCormack and Hugo Rodallega dropping to the bench and Scott Parker given the day off.
