I'm one of the few black people who doesn't dislike Rachel Dolezal. I wouldn't go as far as calling her a hero but she's not a bad person in my opinion. I just feel like a lot of black people today only get's upset when the white liberal media tells them to get upset. Like protesting whenever a white person kills a black but saying nothing when blacks kills blacks. Police brutality, the systematic structure, and other things pisses me off but I have a mind of my own. Nobody tells me what I should or shouldn't be offended by.

Rachel Dolezal did more for blacks, from her position, than most of the blacks bashing her on Twitter. We've never been a people to reject others. Since the beginning of when African Americans owned businesses we never rejected whites or anyone else from playing music in our clubs, buying food from our restaurants, or working alongside other employees. We never put up signs that said "blacks only" or anything hateful like that so I don't get why (most) blacks shamed Dolezal into resigning. Yeah, she lied and that was wrong but we've never rejected or publicly humiliated people who wanted to embrace or be apart of our culture. I feel like this is one of those things where the white liberal media tells people to be (fake) outraged about something & people say, "okay". Smh

I'm happy for what Rachel Dolezal did for the people of Seattle, but she lied about who she was to get ahead in life. She deserves scorn.

Ooooooh, so that's what this is about? The fact that she lied to get ahead? So if she had lied and not been successful then it would've been ok? C'mon man. She didn't deserved what happened to her. We got ISIS chopping people's heads off for nothing and we're going to be outraged over Rachel Dolezal lying about her race? THAT'S the thing we're going to choose to be (fake) outraged about? Foolishness.

Did she lie or to her, is gender an identity? Is transrace going to be a thing now?

The mainstream media is not liberal. If anything its pro-corporate and pro-establishment because that is what it is owned by.

The protests that happened where not instigated by the media, they were simply covered. What instigated them were shootings that became a tipping point from a long period of a criminal justice system that was disproportionately targeting them in several different ways.

Of course not every person, including every black person will agree with the protesters. But their anger did not come out of the blue with media simply telling them one day they should be angry. It was born out of personal experience and the experiences of the people they know.

However on Rachel Dolezal I don't really disagree. She should not have lied but it became a larger story then it needed to be. Hopefully she learned from the experience.

Some people are just way too caught up with race, who gives a shit if you're skin is brown or pink it's the inside that makes what you are not the exterior

I agree which is why this whole thing bothers me so much.
