I want to know if it's possible to play In a super small space with parents that wouldn't stand for noise. Any tips or experiences niggers? I want to know how loud I can expect them to be using mutes too.

electric drums are an option but if you will be playing in a band or with friends then you'd want an acoustic. The feel of actually hitting the drum heads with sticks is the same from different materials (eg the floor tom on electric kits doesnt have any slack like it would on a acoustic drum.) but your technique and muscle memory from rudiments etc should be pretty similar. Another option is buy a cheap acoustic kit and put dampening pads on, this means you can take them off if no one is home and have a more usual feel for drumming. I have played on electric and acoustic kits for about 5 years now and prefer acoustics. You could also use different stick types such as 7a sticks made of light wood. This would soften the impact of the stick as 7a's are usually for jazz playing. laying quiet is also an option although this is very difficult when first starting off as most people have a tendency to hit the drums very hard to keep in time and learn groves etc. I hope this helps and I hope you enjoy playing the drums if you get some! I prefer an acoustic but even with mutes or dampening pads I have neighbors connected to me. I can play in the afternoon when no one is home but I don't want to annoy my parents since they won't like the idea already when I tell them
