He won an oscar for the pianist - so he , naturally, goes off to become a big A-Lister, in big movies...and WOW !!! JUST DID NOT WORK !!!

Predators - oooof.....the movie sucked, but he wasn't that good either to save it where as someone like Sean Penn or Bruce Willis would have made it at least a little better.

King Kong - He sucked...That movie was miscast...

Wasn't he more of a key supporting than lead in King Kong I mean Watts was easily the lead imho. And Jack Black was pretty prominent too I gs.

Brody was never A-list, not even close to it imho. There are many failed attempts at becoming A-list, like say Taylor Kitsch leading two movies budgeted at 250M and 209M in the same year.
