Is the two party system flawed?

Seriously, we're shifting from two-term Democrat to a Republican now for God knows how many terms, but regardless, we could end up going back to a Democratic after. Bit flawed don't you think, because the next President usually ends up backtracking and repealing everything their predecessor of a different party had laid out, and vice-versa. That's not really a system of democracy, but more, "haha, now it's my turn and all your ideas sucked so I'm getting rid of them." That's not exactly progress for our country.

Yes. We'd be better off with a Parliamentary system for that reason, but this will never happen.

Funny how you only think it is flawed because Hilary won't (ever) be President

Is that so?

It is flawed, but are you aware it also has its advantages as well?

That's why we need to get rid of winner take all at the state level for federal offices. I'd be perfectly happy splitting up the electors in each state by percentage of votes for each political party. It would give real teeth to third parties making it much harder for Democrats and Republicans to win outright majorities in the electoral college. Instead we would see coalition voting occurring. And with the strengthening of those third parties you would start seeing them win more at the congressional and other levels.
