I've been following this case for a while now and it is truly bizarre. People magazine have a new documentary on Discovery that is really interesting. I think this is quickly becoming the most strange case in American criminal history (certainly since the Zodiac killer).

OT- The 20+ year Claremont Serial Killer case in Western Australia has seen someone charged a fortnight ago.

What is it that you see as "bizarre" about this? It looks like yet another insane nutter to me.

The theories going around: Potential police cover up; multiple killers; a sex ring: the suspects involved; the telephone calls; one of the mothers of the victims being murdered; an Asian man dressed in woman's clothing; a toddler. It's strange.

Mad theories tend to be normal in this sort of abnormal situation. It will probably turn out to be yet another 30-50-ish white bloke with maternal issues. Or not.

Not really. This case has generated a lot of unusual things over and above most murder cases.

I think EAR/ONS is more interesting than LISK or Zodiac, but it is indeed an interesting case. Considering how recent it was, and some of the recent developments, I think there's a decent chance he'll actually be caught.

Serial killers are the weirdest fascination, but for whatever reason, almost everybody is to some degree or another.

Yea it's weird that another set of bodies was found up the coast, and they were handled differently than the first set. And that area is an ideal place for dumping bodies to anybody who is a killer, so I wonder if all of them were even victims of the LISK. Like the baby they found. I wonder if that was even connected. I don't think they're going to solve it. And they stopped finding bodies. So whoever did that has moved or died. They sure as *beep* didn't just stop.
