Most aren't. They generally attempt to be objective and rational.

When right-wingers see a story about Muslim terrorists, they want the news to be as angry about it as they are. When they're not, they conclude that this is because they're a bunch of lefty liberals.

Then they tune into Fox to find people as angry as they are.

When left-wingers see a story about misogyny, they want the news to be as angry as they are. When they're not, they conclude that this is because they're a bunch of race hate apologist conservatives.

Then they click on the Guardian website to find articles that they agree with.

Ultimately, anger is viewed as reactionary though and being reactionary is viewed as... right wing so the left tend to get away with it.
