I believe it was

The nearest neighbor who has a cat lives down my culdesac, make a right, make another right, go straight, then make a left - her house is second one in on the right.

So, no. They don't let their cat out, either.

Did you ever have to finally decide?

Cats are not legally allowed to roam free where I live, so if a neighbor's cat had been in the yard, it would have been technically a stray. My policy is to catch any unauthorized cats I find in my yard and take them to animal control.

I found a dollar in the road on my way to my car.
Got a California Super Lotto ticket.
Crossed fingers.

I never see cats outside their apartment in my neighborhood

More likely to see the neighbor too lazy to walk his dog let it run around

No. My cats keep it away.

For years I tried to keep the neighbors cats away from my yard. They'd crap & piss in the same spot all the time. I tried spreading pepper all over. I used different scents, human urine, dog crap, cologne, even over the counter product called "Cats Away".

Nothing.

A BB gun was fun but I couldn't stand sentry duty 24/7.

The solution.

Tuna mixed with rat poison.

If you did that here, you'd be charged with cruelty to animals and pay a hefty fine. Roaming animals are annoying, but it's not their fault. It's their stupid owners' faults.

I didn't enjoy it. I enjoyed plinking them in the ass with the BB gun but the poison was the final option. I tried everything I could. I searched the internet for ways to keep them away. I never knew who they belonged to. I'd see them all over the neighborhood.

So, your right. It was the owners fault.

Animal control. Trap them and bring them to a shelter.

Even firing a BB gun at them would be grounds to be charged with animal cruelty.

We had neighbors across the street who had three cats they used to let roam all over the place. After dealing with them trying to engage my INDOOR cats through the doors to the patio, and spraying all over, we collected them and brought them to the local shelter.

...there are about a dozen feral cats in my neighborhood. They definitely keep the rodent population down, but I have privacy fences that keep them off my property.

Probably.

Do you think if you were prettier you could have hooked up with your ex manager? You would have had more confidence?
