You didn't hear about her heart attack?😮
5 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 18:46
I did. I thought she was better.
6 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 18:53
No, she was 'stable' which doesn't mean anything. It's not a term medical professionals use.
7 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 18:55
I didn't know.
8 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 18:58
RIP.

An icon.

R2D2 and Princess Leia in the same year. Damn.
10 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 19:04
I feel bad for Debbie Reynolds. That must really suck.

Yeah imagine outliving your children. Carrie's hard life really took a toll on her body.

"Hard life"? C'mon now. I feel as sympathetic about her passing as anyone, but "hard life"? Carrie was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, and blew it - drugs, addiction - how much more was she looking for?

This is just an ongoing pattern with celebs who die young, long before their natural time to leave this life. Yes, celebs can encounter the same consequences that any mortals do - illness, accidents, etc., but many, it seems, just don't appreciate the opportunities and success they have, can never appreciate the trials and tribulations that the average person may have to endure in life, just to survive. The word "spoiled" comes to mind.

Carrie abused her body over the years and some close to her have concluded that her lack of rest and sleep, and pushing herself too far is what led to her heart attack in the first place. Maybe so. But why?

I, for one, will remember her as Princess Leah, and perhaps her book, but for little else of true achievement. Her mother, Debbie Reynolds, will, when her time comes, be remembered for a much fuller and greater life of achievement - and she did not spring from a background of the rich and famous. At times like these it's inevitable that the departed, assuming they were not outright criminals or inhuman bastards, will be lauded with praise and their iconic status. I'm sure carrie was a god person, but hardy worthy of the praise that is now being raised in the media. May she RIP.

16 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 19:39
Wow, this is a rough year.

RIP Carrie Fisher.

My day is ruined
18 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 20:03
Amen. For whatever reason, this is the most painful celebrity death of 2016.
19 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 20:09
it is getting to me, too

rest in peace Princess Leia

She was a nice person, like her mother.

People are rushing to check out to be included in the 2016 toll.

Damn. RIP.

I'm starting to worry that QEII will buy the farm before the end of the year.

She will never die as long as Charles lives.
23 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 20:32
At least we can hope.
24 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 20:41
Is she in ill health?
25 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 20:47
Condolences to Debbie.
26 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 20:55
Wow, this really hits home. So sad for the family, especially her mother Debbie Reynolds, nothing is more tragic than burying your daughter...RIP Carrie Fisher

I wonder if this now throws a huge monkey wrench in the plans for the sequel trilogy?
28 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 21:28
Harrison Ford will come back as Leia.

They'll explain that Leia actually died in Solo's body.

It's a whole modern day liberal democrat transgender time warp go to the wrong bathroom kind of thing.

Not cool. At all.

Douchebag.
30 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 21:34
I would think so. You can't replace Carrie Fisher as Leia.
31 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 21:38
There's already plans for Han and Lando origin stories.
32 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 21:41
Doubt it. They'll either CGI it, recast the role, or rewrite the script around it.
33 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 21:56
If they have an 'No, I am your father' thing with Leia then that could be a huge, huge issue to overcome. CGI Leia in Rogue One was one of the few things that didn't work in that film.
34 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 22:01
I'd heard that she finished filming her scenes for Ep 8. assuming she doesn't have an on-screen death in the movie, I imagine they would add an off-screen death later.
35 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 22:11
She'd already completed work on Ep 8, so they'll have to either write her character out of Ep 9 or use CGI like they did for Rogue One.
36 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 22:21
I thought for sure she was going to break the 2016 curse.

RIP Carrie Fisher. You were showing Hollywood that ladies can be level headed warrior princesses long before Hollywood even knew that was a thing.
37 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-27 22:37
Oh FFS. I'm already depressed over George Michael. Just another hit today.

Poor Carrie. 😢

RIP
