Setting Pixar to one side and looking at the main animated films made since the company's Renaissance we've seen forays into: Native American tribes, Ancient Greece, South America (okay, previously done in the 40s, but for different reasons), present-day Hawaii, Norway (called Arendelle, but you know it's Norway), Imperial China, Polynesia, and other places (I'm not trying to be exhaustive). How they handled Doctor Strange live little doubt about that, I think there is for 10 second someone that do not speak perfect English in the movie being mostly set in Kathmandu, some nice establishing shot and that is it for that part.
